The Planning Department assists the Planning Commission in development and land use. All requests for annexation, development, or rezoning are first reviewed by the City Planner and City Engineer for compliance with the City’s long-range growth and land use plan. Once the plan is accepted as to form by the staff, it is placed on the agenda for the Planning Commission.
The Planning Department maintains records of all approved plans for subdivisions, commercial developments, and rezoning. Information concerning the use or proposed use of land within the corporate limits is available through this office.
The Codes Department is responsible for issuance of building permits, inspections of construction projects, and enforcement of all ordinances connected with health & safety codes.

VISIT TN.GOVPROPERTY TAXES
The City of Fairview can no longer accept property tax payments as of July 1, 2022. All payments must be made through the Williamson County Trustee’s office either in person, by mail, through their online tax portal at www.williamsonpropertytax.com or through local banks. Bank personnel cannot answer any tax-related questions, they can only accept payment in full along with your payment stub and cannot accept payments after February 28, 2023. The following banks accept property tax payments at all of their Williamson County branches: First Bank, First Citizens National Bank, First Horizon, Pinnacle Bank and Regions Bank.

If anyone at your home or business has special needs that our first responders should be alerted to in the event of an emergency or other call for service we want to know. Please email any special needs information, notifications or requests for our first responders to [email protected]. Williamson County dispatch will flag your address with the necessary information. If our first responders are ever dispatched to your address for any reason dispatch will notify them of your unique circumstance.
